I just love contradictory weather reports! This one was from last Friday morning.

Remember the post on the cholesterol numbers? Spurred on by the threat of hypercholesterolemia medications, I've been very careful about the diet and exercise all summer. Lots of fruits and vegetables and treats limited to once a week. My weight is down along with my clothing sizes, and I feel good inside my own skin.
Last Monday, I had another blood draw and the numbers are down. Yes, down! My total cholesterol is down below 200 and my triglycerides are down significantly. The pesky LDLs are still very slightly above optimal but they are down by over 50 points.
Of course, there is always a bit of a down-side. Due to replacing my morning bowl cereal and milk, my vitamin D is slightly down. Time to figure out a way to increase milk consumption. Perhaps a bedtime snack of cereal and milk.
I think I'd like to celebrate with some ice cream. Ice cream is made from milk. Ice cream has vitamin D! :o)

Congrats on the major improvement!!!
Gah. We haven't had sun on any day in the last 10 days that had sun forecast.
Icecream may not have Vit D. It depends on whether the milk is fortified before being sold to the processors, whether they fortify it, or neither. Yogourt and cheese can be in the same category.

I should have started by congratulating you on your excellent results. You've made significant progress.

Milkshakes, that's how I'd roll. Chocolate! Or pineapple. Mmm ... pineapple.
Excellent job there, trekster, keep up the good work. :)
Awesome work! Many try, few succeed. Can you have both oatmeal bread and cereal with milk? Or a high-on-milk coffee-ish or cocoa drink?
Gee, thanks, Gillian. I was really hoping for some serious ricket-prevention with the ice cream! ;o)
Woo-hoo! You go, girl!
Those are some pretty impressive results! It's hard to bring those numbers down (ask me how I know this). It's a good thing I like oatmeal......
Congrats on the the improvement. I am trying to eat a lot more veggies... but that icecream comment has me thinking about heading to the freezer....
Yay Trek! I with April, milkshakes to celebrate.
Actually, my doctor recommends 2000iu of Vit. D a day to build strong bones. It is a water-soluble vitamin and won't hurt you.
I tried the ice cream thing with my doctor. She made me take a supplement. She is mean...
The weather here is crazy, too. It cold outside, but my classroom at school is nine thousand degrees. I can't figure out what to wear!
Well done :) That is a great achievement.
