Now that the end of the school year is nigh,
really need to finalize some vacation plans.
Problem is, exactly
do we want to go?
We have gotten the pictures taken so we can apply for our
.
But we still need to pick a
.
Do we want to go on a
or maybe a
?
Will we need to
to get to where we want to
?
Or would it be better to take a
?
I will be sure to bring the
but will we see
out our window or
?
I'm ready to pack our
but since we haven't any
yet, I don't know what to put the bags.
Please help me: tell me where you went on your best vacation(s)?

9 yarns:
some of our best vacations have been left to spontanaety (??mucked up spelling) Weekends where we have just taken off to San Fran or Portland with minimal internet searching for things to do in the area. We have a habit of these long weekends and adore them!
Paris with the DH. Lake Tahoe with the kids. There's a family resort called "Atlantis" we've been wanting to try; my son keeps telling me they've got great deals right now! ;)
The Olympic Peninsula, Vancouver Island (Victoria), Salt Spring Island, Vancouver BC, and along the Sunshine Coast of BC.
Disney Cruise!
Best PLACE I've ever visited (I don't get out much) was the Tucson Botanical Gardens, FANTASTIC LYS there too, called Kiwi Knits. However the rest of the trip was like something out of a nightmare.
I second Atlantis, I've wanted to go there ever since the Olsen Twins did in one of their movies, lol! Place looked fantastic. My grandparents visited it when they were in the Bahamas' and loved it.
Some of our best vacations have been when we've gone sailing as a family. Of course we own our own sailboats, and are very familiar with them. So if you're not that may not be an option, even if you could rent....
1. Disney World
2. Disneyland
3. Bar Harbor, ME
4. Drove from MA to CA (and back again 18 months later)
5. Bird-in Hand, PA
Not necessarily in that order. Numbers 1, 3 and 5 were done with kids. Number 2 and 4 without.
I got nuthin'. I cannot even begin to imagine what this thing called a "vacation" might be. I do, however, seem to envy you this experience. Apparently, I have some recollection of vacations.
So wherever you go, I shall enjoy it vicariously and mightily.
Kennebunkport, ME. Stay at the Franciscan Guest House - it's a great retreat center and walking distance into Kennebunkport. We love to visit New England. Have you considered Boston? We often get a deal on Hotwire at either the Park Plaza hotel or the new Westin (the only 5-star hotel in the waterfront district). It's a great place to take kids, I think - you just follow the red line in the pavement to all the important historical places.
A cruise ship to Key West!
That's a subtle hint;D
