SJ Gym Crew Socks
Knit multiple pairs using different colors for the toes. This way, your child can wear "solid white" socks for gym while you are still able to keep the pairs of socks together in the wash.
Shh, say nothing and no one will ever know

"Secret" color on the toe!

10 yarns:
This post is an exact illustration for the adage that there is a yarn for everything and everything has it's own yarn. I'm not a big Fixation girl, but this application is perfect for that yarn. And you get to knit socks for your little one. Good job.
I really like Fixation for kids' socks: it has enough give to allow the socks to fit them longer - almost no matter how fast your particular kid grows!
Thanks for the pattern!
I guess when you get into 6th grade, you just have to buck the whole white sock rule!
What a great idea. I never seem to have socks for my grandson, and my husband and boys all wear the same size socks, what a great way to sort easily. Now what can you do about keeping their boxers from getting mixed up. I am an only girl in a house full of men, ahhhhhhhh
Genius with the toes, there!!!
Cute pattern. I bet your little loves having the "secret" color on the top of his gym socks.
it is also a great idea for multiple kids.
"Mom, he's wearing my socks again."
"You, take off your socks"
"ah ha! green toes! You are the blue toe boy. Take off your brothers socks!"
I have to kitchener the toes in a different color for my boys
I'm wondering if you can help a beginner sock kniter? I can't quite see my way through the Heel Flap section.
"Work heel flap on the
Work rows 1&2 for 14 repeats (28 rows)."
I'm guessing this means to work on the 24 stitches?
Your blog has been a favourite . . .just wish I had your *toe* solution with my two boys!
great idea.... thanks for the pattern. I adore your blog.
