Bag and bags

Sock bag color wheelI had someone ask me for some more sock bag details because I guess the details have become a bit lost across the past couple of weeks. So, about the sock bags they

  • Are fully lined with coordinating fabric and therefore reversible
  • Stand approximately 8" tall
  • Are square bottomed at approximately 5½" x 5½"
  • Have drawstring closures in a sewn casing
  • Ship First Class Mail in the US
  • Ship AirMail to other countries
  • Are available for swapping for all kinds of items*
  • Usually ship same day
Special requests can be accommodated (such as elongating the bag to make it suitable for toting a drop spindle).

*Some of my previous swap arrangements have included yarn, knitting needles, knitting books, handmade soaps, gift certificates, chocolate, United States postage stamps...you get the idea; just not for greenbacks. Please leave me a comment or email me if you are interested! Any fibers coming to me must come from a smoke-free and pet-free environment as we have multiple persons here with asthma and/or allergies. Thanks.

I am trying to make swaps for other than yarn now as I now have a much larger stash than I ever thought I would accumulate. I am trying not to go SABLE. Gift certificates to places like Borders, Staples, AC Moore, Joann's Fabric, etc are preferred swap items at this time. Thanks.

Side oneFor the Ohhh Bag Me KAL, I cast on this Felted Bowling Ball Bag Purse. I think it is coming out rather well. There were a few minor issues (the kind where you look at the pattern and say, "huh?") but all in all it is coming along nicely. I am using two strands of the Araucania on a US size 10 circular needle.

Your new bags are fab. To anyone who hasn't made a swap with Trek yet - do it ! You'll be so happy !!
The felted bag is shaping up nicely.. I always think it is great fun to felt things down on purpose (unlike the lace socks I inadvertently tossed in the washing machine - sigh)
Your AZ Lace Socks are so pretty - and I think that the spirals left and right are so cool! Sometimes its the little things that make it all come together.

I love the new bags. I really love the one I swapped you for best, though.

That bowling bag is looking good, I've been eyeing the pattern for a few days and considering trying it.

They all look so great! You have done really well.

Uuuum..the fabric I was planning on sending you to make me a bag comes from a house with cats (we have three)..is that going to be a huge problem? I can wash it before I send it if it helps?

Trek, Would you swap for anything other than the spindle kit you wanted? Sorry about that! But I have lots of rovings (new ones too) sock yarn, etc. Drop me a line! Lis

Trek, I met Julsey from Peony Knits and I recognized her at the lys because of the bag she was walking around with that you made. They are nice.

I would very much like the retro pink bag. Is it still available? I have the latest skein of the STR Sock Club, and some Cherry tree Hill. Neither have been out of the bag they arrived it. If you are interested in something else, please let me know.
